With past and present models on display

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Speedmaster, OMEGA has hosted a special celebration in Taiwan. The “Speedy Mission in Taipei” was opened with a “crew of astronauts” who first ventured onto the streets of the city and then arrived at the venue carrying in a selection of vintage Speedmaster watches.

Guests included many of Taiwan’s biggest Speedmaster fans, including the actor and model Sunny Wang, who spoke about his own dreams of space. He then unveiled the latest models in the Speedmaster collection including the Racing Master Chronometer and the ladies’ Speedmaster 38 mm. A stunning selection of these models was on display so that guests could get a close-up view.

As the first watch worn on the moon, the OMEGA Speedmaster has a special place in space history. The event in Taipei brought this unique heritage to life and gave guests a wonderful insight into the watch’s past and future.
